Ocean

When you live on Vancouver Island in beautiful British Columbia, the ocean is omnipresent.  As such, many of my paintings involve the Pacific ocean, whether I’m painting cliffs, beaches, or coastlines.

After a rather traumatic childhood in the right-wing desert of Alberta, with its bitter cold and parching dryness, I avoid venturing anywhere that’s not near the ocean.

Indeed, even when I do travel, I mostly stay on and around islands – and I never go very far inland when I do set foot on a continent.
